ACBW Schedule of Events

You asked for it, so here it is: the 2015 American Craft Beer Week schedule of events.

A couple of notes. This schedule is for events and tappings in and around Baton Rouge. There will no doubt be more events added, and I’ll update this list as I find out about them, so keep checking back.

Nora has a piece on the events going on in New Orleans, so I refer you to that for Big Easy ACBW events.

Saturday May 9th

OK, so this isn’t technically part of ACBW, but it’s Gnarly Barley’s 1st Anniversary Party from noon until 4pm in Hammond, I’m going, and so should you.

Sunday May 10th

OK, Sunday still isn’t technically part of ACBW either, but there are some cool things happening.

Chimes East will have kegs of Saint Arnold Divine Reserve 13 and 14, as well as barrel aged versions of the same beers served with brunch at 11am.

Corporate Brew & Draft will tap a keg of Goose Island Bourbon County Stout as well as have bottles of Goose Island Bourbon County Barleywine (save the not-craft comments, you know you love this stuff).

Monday May 11th

Tin Roof will tap their new smoked brown ale, Smoke Shack, beginning at 3pm.

Chimes East taps a keg of Founders KBS, and will have Founders Imperial Stout, Curmudgeon Old Ale, Centennial IPA and Dirty Bastard beginning at 5pm.

Corporate Brew & Draft will have kegs of Parish Ghost in the Machine double IPA and Dr. Hoptagon black IPA and a special cask of Triple Citra Canebrake. I repeat: Triple. Citra. Canebrake. The fun starts at 5pm.

The Bulldog will tap Tin Roof’s Smoke Shack smoked brown ale at 5pm.

Chimes LSU will also tap Parish Ghost in the Machine and Dr. Hoptagon at 6pm, as well as have some featured beers from Brooklyn.

City Pork Brasserie and Bar will feature Mudbug Kingcake Ale and NOLA Blonde beginning at 5:30pm.

Red Zeppelin will feature Brooklyn and Yalobusha that evening as well.

Tuesday May 12th

Chimes East will feature NOLA Brewing’s Funk series with their Arabella sour as well as Hurricane Saison dry hopped with Belma hops beginning at 4pm.

Corporate Brew & Draft will feature Bayou Teche’s new Bayou Peche, a peach IPA, as well as a cask of their Bloody Ginger Ale, a ginger beer with blood oranges. Also featured are beers from Grimm Brewing.

Tin Roof will host Jay Ducote and Jesse Romero for a night of barbecue bliss to go along with their Smoke Shack smoked brown ale, Pucker Up cherry sour and a Citrus Cascade version of Juke Joint IPA run through the hop randall.

Happy’s Irish Pub downtown will tap Tin Roof’s Smoke Shack just in time for the Happy’s Running Club run at 6pm.

Chimes LSU will tap New Belgium’s Oscar Worthy Coffee as well as their Wild Dubbel at 6pm.

The Pelican House will feature a variety of Green Flash beers as well as Yalobusha all evening.

The Bulldog will feature NOLA’s Lowerline sour, Belma dry hopped Hurricane Saison and Rumplestoutskin, which is their Old New Orleans Rum barrel aged Irish Channel Stout, all starting at 7pm. They’ll also have a cask of Abita’s ginger infused Restoration Pale Ale.

The Draft House downtown will tap Tin Roof’s Smoke Shack at 8pm.

Wednesday May 13th

Tin Roof will feature a pop-up market from the Baton Rouge Fashion Council with food trucks and a tapping of their Single Hop Project Ale with Experimental Hop 342 (yes, the experimental hops are numbered before they are given a name).

The Pelican House will feature Parish Ghost in the Machine and Dr. Hoptagon beginning at 5pm.

Chimes East will tap a keg of New Belgium’s Transatlantique Kriek at 5pm.

Chimes LSU will have Stone’s Imperial Russian Stout vintages from both 2014 and 2015 available for a vertical tasting.

Corporate Brew & Draft will have Evil Twin night, featuring Justin Blaeber blueberry Berliner Wiesse, Molotov Cocktail triple IPA and Molotov Lite double IPA at 5pm.

Beausoleil will feature Bayou Teche’s new peach IPA (Bayou Peche) and Saison d’Ecrevisses all night (go get the truffled fried oysters and thank me later)

The Bulldog will feature New Belgium Cherry Oscar and Rampant double IPA beginning at 6pm.

The Station will feature Mudbug Kingcake Ale and 40 Arpent milk stout.

Olive or Twist will have cellar night, and the list is huge. Check it out:


  
 Thursday May 14th

Olive or Twist will feature New Belgium Lips of Faith beer cocktails served in copper mugs beginning at 5pm. One of the featured beers will be the new Pear Ginger beer.

Chimes East will feature Tin Roof Smoke Shack smoked brown, Apricot Turnrow as well as a surprise specialty keg, all beginning at 5pm. They’ll also have Stone Imperial Russian Stout.

Tin Roof will be hosting City Pork for dinner service as well as tapping another of the Single Hop Project offerings, this time with Experimental Hop 512.

Corporate Brew & Draft will tap a keg of Saint Arnold Boiler Room Berliner Weisse and have bottles of Bishop’s Barrel 7, 8 and 9, all beginning at 5pm.

Restaurant IPO will have an Abita beer dinner with a specialty cask.

Chimes LSU will tap kegs of Founders KBS at 6pm. Yes, I said kegs, plural. 2014 and 2015 vintages. 

The Smiling Dog will tap their keg of Parish Ghost in the Machine at 8pm.

Friday May 15th

The Bulldog will tap a keg of Saint Arnold Boiler Room Berliner Weisse with specialty syrups at 5pm.

Corporate Brew & Draft will rollout Chafunkta’s new Irish red ale, Bayou Blaze, beginning at 6pm.

Tin Roof’s taproom will feature Perfect Cinnamon Tin Crunch, their amber ale run through the randall of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal.

The Cove will feature all the Oskar Blues beers Friday evening as well.

Saturday May 16th

Chimes LSU will tap kegs of Goose Island Bourbon County Stout, Sofie, Matilda, IPA and 312 Wheat at 11am.

Tin Roof will host the 104.5 ESPN Crawfish Cook-Off from noon until 6pm with a pilot batch of double IPA.

The Pelican House will host the inaugural Delta Brewer’s Ball from 3pm until 6pm featuring beers, brewmasters, and owners from 40 Arpent, Abita, Bayou Teche, Chafunkta, Covington, Gnarly Barley, Lazy Magnolia, NOLA, Parish, Saint Arnold, Tin Roof and Yalobusha.

Corporate Brew & Draft will will feature casks from Tin Roof (Strawberry Yonder Hefe) and Gnarly Barley (Korova milk porter with toasted coconut and cocoa nibs), as well as NOLA Lowerline sour, Four Roses barrel aged Irish Channel Stout and Bretta of Destruction (collaboration with Stone with French oak and brettanomyces) beginning at 6pm.

The Bulldog will host an ACBW/End of School block party from 6pm until 10pm.

Sunday May 17th

Corporate Brew & Draft will feature Prairie Artisan Ales, including a keg of Prairie Bomb! and a keg of Prairie Somewhere sour ale.

    Corporate Brew and Draft won’t rest that Sunday, We’ll have our final day of going Sunday to Sunday with Prairie Day with 4 kegs of Bomb and a keg of Prairie Somewhere
