Terrapin Brewing is bringing their beers to Louisiana next week, and there are some rollout parties happening in Baton Rouge on Wednesday, January 15th. Their IPA, Hopsecutioner, will be one of the draft offerings, and I believe the Rye Pale Ale will be another.
Additionally, the Athens, GA brewery will be sending a few specialty kegs over. A couple of teams from Terrapin will be hitting the local watering holes on Wednesday, debuting a different beer at each location. See below for what’s being poured.
Chimes East- 6-7pm
Specialty keg being poured- MooHoo Chocolate Stout (seasonal)
Pelican House- 7:30-8:30
Specialty keg being poured- Hop Karma Brown IPA (Seasonal)
The Bulldog- 6-7pm
Specialty Keg Poured- Dos Cocoas Chocolate Porter
The Chimes LSU- 7:30-8:30
Specialty Keg poured- Oak Aged Big Hoppy Monster
I’m looking forward to seeing these beers in Louisiana soon. They will be draft only to start, with package to follow next month.
Additionally, the Old Rail Brewing Company in Mandeville will be brewing a special collaboration beer with Terrapin next week. Old Rail’s brewmaster, Matt Horney, was a brewer at Terrapin before coming on board with Old Rail, so it’s an opportunity for him to catch up with old brewing friends. They’ll be brewing a blood orange black IPA, which sounds delicious to me. More details on that release soon.
