Sour Beer Day & Zwanze Day

12 Sep

Saturday September 14th has been designated as International Sour Beer Day. This also happens to coincide with Zwanze Day, which is the day that Belgium’s Cantillon Brewery releases their extremely rare experimental sour beer of the same name to select bars worldwide.

The Avenue Pub in New Orleans is one of the few worldwide places where you can get a pour of Cantillon’s Zwanze 2013. Click here to read all about how Zwanze Day will work at Avenue Pub on Saturday.

If you’re like me, and can’t make it to one of the places serving Cantillon’s Zwanze, you can still celebrate on your own by drinking a sour beer on Saturday and tweeting about it using the hashtag #SourBeerDay.

What sour beers do you plan to drink this Saturday?
