Monday brings one of the most exciting weeks for craft beer lovers, American Craft Beer Week. This week is chock full of events around the country, and it’s no different in south Louisiana. Without further ado, I present a calendar of events for you to pick and choose where to celebrate each day.
These are just some of the events happening around south Louisiana. Of course, it’s impossible to make every one of them, but the important thing is to celebrate American Craft Beer Week by getting out to a few and showing bar and restaurant owners that you want them to continue to focus on craft beer.

The Cove: A keg of Prairie Bomb! will be tapped at 5:30 (you can find me here for this!).
The Pelican House: Saint Arnold Divine Reserve 14 cask at 7:00.
LeBlanc’s: SweetWater beer dinner at 6:00.
Burgersmith: Bayou Teche Coteau Rodaire kegs (French Farmhouse Ale, aged in Sauvignon Blanc barrels hand-crafted in the Burgundy region of France, then finished with orange peel.
Chimes East: Stone Brewing pint night at 6:30.
Mellow Mushroom: Abita pint night from 6:00-7:00.
Big Heads: NOLA Brewing pint night from 6:00-7:00.
The Bulldog Uptown: New Belgium (Lips of Faith Cigar City collaboration, Chicory Milk Stout, Summer Helles, and Yuzu Berliner Weisse) and NOLA (Rebirth pale ale, Hopitoulas IPA, and Blonde) pint glass night at 6:00 as well as 40 Arpent (Milk Stout & Delacroix) and Terrapin (Maggie’s Peach Farmhouse Ale, Moonray Chocolate Orange Weissenbock and Hopsecutioner IPA) night at 8:00.
Buffalo Wild Wings (both locations): East Coast night, with samplings from Brooklyn (Black Ops), Harpoon (Rich and Dan’s Rye IPA) and Shmaltz (Funky Jewbelation)
The Barley Oak: Chafunkta-Old Rail Off The Tracks collaboration release party at 7:00.
The Chimes Covington: Gnarly Barley rollout featuring Catahoula Common at 6:00.

The Cove: Terrapin Big Hoppy Monster and Maggie’s Peach Farmhouse Ale 8:00-9:00.
The Pelican House: Brooklyn, Harpoon and Green Flash featured beers 7:00-8:00.
Renaissance Hotel: Representatives from all of Louisiana’s breweries will be sampling their beers beginning at 5:00.
Happy’s Irish Pub (downtown): All four Tin Roof brands on this week, as well as a keg of Tin Roof Blogger Blonde Lager on tap for Happy’s Running Club beginning at 6:00.
Avenue Pub: Barrel Aged Night $24 for 6 four ounce pours. Some of the featured beers will be Saint Arnold Bishop’s Barrel 1, 3, 4, and 5, Abita Pappy Van Winkle aged Bourbon Street Stout, Founders KBS, Evil Twin Double Barrel aged Even More Jesus, Against the Grain London Balling (Angel’s Envy barrel aged), Santa Fe Imperial Smoked Porter with chipotle peppers aged in bourbon barrels, Old Rasputin barrel aged imperial stout (2012), Terrapin Substance Abuse (Woodford Reserve barrel aged Wake –N-Bake imperial stout), and Off Color Troublesome Gose.

The Chimes LSU: Abita pint night at 6:30.
The Londoner: Shmaltz tap takeover with St. Lenny’s double IPA, Messiah Nut Brown ale and Reunion collaboration 4:00-6:00
Chelsea’s: NOLA pint night at 6:00.
Avenue Pub: Funk Night featuring saisons, sours, lacto & brett infused American beers. The Chimes Covington: 2nd Annual Southern Craft Beer Dinner featuring Evil Twin Imperial Biscotti Break, Saint Arnold Bishop’s Barrel 6, North Coast Le Merle, Saint Arnold Divine Reserve 13, New Belgium Le Terroir, as well as some surprise beers not typically available in Louisiana. $50, and dinner starts at 6:30.
